Dreams and Benjamin Franklin

Last night I dreamed I was in a huge library of a dusty old house looking for a book written by Benjamin Franklin. My lesson for the day was to read 7 pages written by him.

When I woke up this morning I realized I have nothing written BY Benjamin Franklin. Before attacking my work, and in between fits of coughing and vexing snotty nose, I am looking online to see what I can find that looks interesting.

Earlier this morning I thumbed through the books that we do have and dragged out books on Aristotle and ethics. This has reminded me that I mean to do more research on St. Thomas Aquinas as well.

I have yet to listen to the podcast, but found the post written by Prodos in regard to a Podcast Interview with Anglican Minister, Dr. Mark Durie absolutely fascinating!

2006 Elections

I’m so glad the 2006 Elections are over! I’m sick beyond anything of the negative ads and rhetoric. My husband and I voted early again this year. The folks at the polling place were as nice and helpful (for those who needed it) as could be.

The most important issue on our ballot was in regard to Eminent Domain. I am thrilled to see that there is now an Amendment to our State Constitution that will “… prohibit the transfer of private property taken by eminent domain to a natural person or private entity; …”

Okay, so we’re done with that one. 2008 is just around the corner and we’ll see how cantankerous the next campaignsÂwill be.
