Hence the Elizabethan

A weed or a wild flower, depends on my mood

What’s up?

hmmm… lots! πŸ™‚

I woke up thinking that smoked gouda cheese and grapes sound really good! I haven’t even thought about why. It just does!

Most of my landscaping changes are complete. I planted a white blooming crape myrtle in the large front garden bed, Japanese yew along the side of the back porch, have planted 2 of the 3 sweet olives, put in a trellis for each of the three climbing jasmine. Oh yes, I also planted the baby apple tree our neighbor gave us on New Years Day.

I’ve had and gotten over the flu. My son took his turn over the weekend, and now my daughter is taking her turn.

We had a very nice dinner with our dear friend and her mother who was down from Virginia. Have you ever met someone who is so dignified and down to earth at the same time that you gobble up every moment you are around them? That’s what I think about her Mom. What an amazing woman!

I haven’t practiced piano the last few days. Bad Elizabeth! I know, I know… I will get back to it tomorrow.

I’m going to help a friend get a couple of websites going. Wish me luck. I am now going to attempt to go in to Swedish gone southwestern – mode. πŸ˜‰
Afterthought: It struck me as I hit “Publish” to mention the best background music for this project! See Husky Rescue for a Scandinavian gone Cowboy video that is pretty good! πŸ˜€ I really like them too. Good relaxing painting music.

With that… I leave you with a Welsh saying that is very fitting at this time.
“Man’s mind is a watch that needs winding daily.” ~Welsh Proverb
